Pattu Barley Pearled
Pattu Barley Pearled is a processed form of barley in which the fibrous outer hull is removed, and the grain is polished to eliminate some or all of its bran layer. This makes it the most popular type of barley for human consumption, as it cooks faster and has a softer texture compared to less-processed varieties like hulled barley also called barley groats, pot barley, or Scotch barley.
Fine barley flour is made by milling pearl barley. Nutritionally, pearl barley is comparable to wheat in terms of calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals, although some varieties contain higher levels of lysine.
